Exciting news for all dog enthusiasts! The AKC Rally® Virtual Program has officially launched, offering a permanent virtual platform for Rally Novice, Rally Intermediate, Rally Advanced, and Rally Excellent classes. Participants can now set up a pre-designed AKC Rally course, record their team's performance, and submit the video for evaluation by a pre-selected AKC Rally Judge. This innovative approach not only allows for flexibility in participation but also maintains the high standards of AKC competitions.
The AKC Rally® Virtual Program allows participants to earn the same qualifying scores and titles virtually as they would at in-person events. You have the flexibility to earn titles by qualifying at either type of event or even both. It's important to note that the RAE class is not available in the virtual program, meaning virtual classes cannot count towards the RAE title that requires double Qs at the same event. Once your dog has achieved the Rally Excellent (RE) title, they can accumulate Rally Championship (RACH) points by scoring 91 or better in the Rally Advanced and Rally Excellent classes in the virtual program. However, keep in mind that scores obtained virtually cannot be used to qualify for AKC Rally National Championship events. So, with the AKC Rally® Virtual Program, you have a great opportunity to showcase your dog's skills and earn titles in a convenient and flexible way!
The AKC Rally® Virtual Program opens up exciting new opportunities for dog owners and their furry companions to showcase their skills in a fun and interactive way. With rally courses featuring 10 to 20 stations at varying levels, this program offers a more relaxed and inclusive atmosphere compared to traditional obedience competitions. Here, communication between the handler and their dog takes precedence over strict heeling, emphasizing the harmonious teamwork between the two. So, whether you're an experienced competitor or a beginner looking to bond with your pup, the AKC Rally® Virtual Program provides a welcoming platform for all to enjoy the rewarding journey of training and working together with your beloved canine companion.
